I Thessalonians 4:9-12
Now concerning brotherly love, you do not have a need for us to write to you, for you yourselves are taught of God to love one another. In fact, you also do it toward all the brothers throughout Macedonia, AND WE EXHORT YOU, BROTHERS, TO ABOUND EVEN MORE AND TO MAKE IT A POINT OF HONOR TO BE TRANQUIL and to do your own business and to work with your hands, even as we charged you, so that you may walk with propriety of conduct toward those outside and that you may have no lack.
I Timothy 2:1-2
Therefore, I exhort that first of all prayer requests, prayers, intercessions, and thanksgiving be made for all people, including for kings and all who are in prominent positions, so that we may lead a quiet and tranquil life with all godliness and dignity.
We should live life with tranquility, staying calm and at peace. That’s so much more enjoyable and healthy than being tense and stressed.
Proverbs 14:30 (ESV)
A tranquil heart gives life to the flesh, but envy makes the bones rot.
