II Corinthians 4:14-18
Knowing that He Who raised the Lord Jesus [from the dead] will also raise us and present us with you along side of Jesus. Moreover, all these things are done for you so that the grace increasing toward many more people may cause thanksgiving to abound to the glory of God. Wherefore, we are not discouraged. Although our outer person is decaying, yet our inner person is renewed day by day. Thus our momentary light weight of the affliction produces for us an eternal, exceedingly heavy weight of glory while we focus not on the things that are seen but on the things that are not seen. In fact, the things that are seen are temporary, but the things that are not seen are eternal.
The afflictions that we encounter in this life, no matter how bad, are just a momentary light weight compared to the eternal glory that we’ll get to enjoy after our Lord Jesus Christ returns.
Romans 8:18
Therefore, I take into account that the sufferings of the present time are not comparable with the glory that is to be revealed to us.
